Terms and Conditions

Quick Load Carriers Ltd agrees to transport the goods described herein under the terms and conditions prescribed by the relevant provincial authority where this shipment originates, along with the carrier’s applicable tariffs effective on the date of shipment, which the shipper accepts by receiving this document. The standard bill of lading conditions apply, in addition to the following:

  • 1) Currency: All monetary figures referenced in these Terms and Conditions are listed in Canadian dollars.
  • 2) Applicable Taxes: All federally and provincially required taxes will be added to freight costs and surcharges. The customer agrees to pay all applicable taxes as billed by Quick Load Carriers Ltd.
  • 3)Rate Information: For specific rate details, please consult your current rate guide, contact Quick Load Carriers directly, or visit the quoting section on the Quick Load Carriers website. Rates are subject to change without prior notice.
  • 4) Prohibited Shipments: Quick Load Carriers Ltd will not transport any shipment that is prohibited by laws or regulations of any federal, state, provincial, or local government in the country of origin or destination.
  • 5) Verbal Delivery Confirmation: Verbal confirmation of delivery is available to both the shipper and consignee. This includes the name of the individual who signed for the shipment, as well as the date and time of delivery.
  • 6) Proof of Delivery: Proof of delivery images will be available for three months from the date captured. Requests for older records may incur an administrative fee.
  • 7) Delivery Charges: The shipper will be responsible for delivery charges if the receiving company or third party does not hold an account or refuses to pay.
  • 8) Packing Requirements: Goods must be properly wrapped and packed. The carrier assumes no liability for breakage of items not clearly marked as “fragile” or “glass.” Containers with perishables or freezable goods must be clearly marked as such to ensure proper handling.
  • 9)Claims and Reporting: Any shortage, loss, or damage must be reported in writing within 24 hours; otherwise, the recipient’s signature shall constitute clear receipt of the shipment. Quick Load Carriers Ltd will not accept liability for unreported C.O.D. amounts beyond 24 hours from delivery.
  • 10) Unclaimed or Refused Shipments: If a shipment is unclaimed or refused by the consignee, Quick Load Carriers Ltd reserves the right to return the goods to the consignor at the consignor’s expense or to store the goods at the consignor’s expense until further instructions are provided.
  • 11)Inspection Rights: Quick Load Carriers Ltd reserves the right to inspect any shipment presented for transport. However, the carrier is not obligated to perform inspections on all shipments.
  • 12) Exclusions: Quick Load Carriers Ltd will not be held liable for loss, damage, or delay caused by factors beyond its control, including but not limited to acts of God, public enemies, riots, strikes, inherent defects in the goods, or actions by the shipper, owner, or authority of law.
  • 13) Delay Disclaimer: Quick Load Carriers Ltd will make every reasonable effort to deliver shipments in a timely manner; however, delivery times are not guaranteed. The carrier will not be liable for any losses due to delays resulting from weather, traffic, or other uncontrollable factors.
  • 14) Force Majeure: Quick Load Carriers Ltd shall not be liable for failure to fulfill its obligations due to causes beyond its control, such as natural disasters, governmental actions, or other circumstances that constitute force majeure.
  • 15) Insurance Coverage: Quick Load Carriers Ltd does not provide insurance coverage or commercial claims settlement services for shipments. Clients are solely responsible for securing their own insurance to cover any potential loss or damage to goods while in transit.
  • 16) Waiting Time Charges: A "Waiting Time Charge" may apply if a Quick Load Carriers driver experiences delays at pickup or delivery locations. Please refer to your pricing schedule for applicable rates.
  • 17) Billing Terms: Payment terms are due upon receipt of the invoice. Any billing discrepancies must be reported immediately. Lost bills will be reissued upon request, and payments must still adhere to the original due date unless otherwise agreed
  • 18)Fuel Surcharge: Quick Load Carriers Ltd reserves the right to apply a fuel surcharge to shipments. This surcharge will be adjusted as needed, and current details will be available upon request or on the Quick Load Carriers website.
  • 19) Limitations of Liability: Quick Load Carriers Ltd liability for any loss, damage, or delay to a shipment shall not exceed the lesser of $1.00 per pound or a maximum of $50.00. Under no circumstances shall Quick Load Carriers Ltd be held liable for loss of profit, income, interest, legal fees, or any special, incidental, or consequential damages.
  • 20) Amendments: Quick Load Carriers Ltd reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. Any updates will be communicated via the company’s official website or other appropriate channels.
